25-minute talks followed by ten minutes of invited commentary, a

5-minute reply from the speaker, and then Q&A. Talk format intended for those looking for more experience with the American Philosophical Association (APA) session format, especially: 

– advanced undergrads

– grad students at any stage

– post-grad early career researchers

– independent scholars

"coffee hour"  talks

Hour-long, informal conversations about a paper in progress (or even just an idea in progress!) between the speaker and participants. Talk format intended for those looking for a chance to bounce some new or not-so-fully-baked ideas off some cool people, especially:

– grad students at any stage

– post-grad early career researchers

– adjunct faculty

– independent scholars

"colloquium" talk

Hour-long lecture presentation, followed by an hour of Q&A. Talk format intended for those looking for more experience with a longer-form/job talk presentation, especially: 

– late-stage grad students
